Why Factory Hoyt Strings Fall Short
Factory strings ship with the bow because they have to. They're built to a price point, on production lines cranking out hundreds of sets a day. The two complaints we hear most from Hoyt shooters making the switch are peep rotation and serving separation. Both come down to how the string was built. Uneven strand tension makes the bundle twist under load. Servings wrapped fast aren't wrapped tight, and Hoyt's cam grooves are unforgiving. A custom-built string fixes both.
