About Joey's Bowstrings
Joey has spent nearly two decades competing at the highest levels of archery. His résumé includes major wins and podium finishes across the sport’s biggest stages, including IBO Worlds (2012), multiple IBO Pro legs, ASA Fort Benning, ASA Classic, ASA Mendon, a 900 round at Vegas, and a 120X at the NFAA Indoor Nationals in Louisville. These results are the product of 18 years of high-level competition and repetition under pressure.
Joey did not start building bowstrings because he was trying to create a brand. He started because he was tired of the standard approach. Strings were rushed, inconsistent, and often treated like disposable parts. Attention to detail was missing.
That mindset didn’t work for him as a competitor.

At its core, Joey’s Bowstrings exists to keep a bow consistent. Poundage. Holding weight. Feel. Timing. The things that matter once you’re serious about shooting. Joey builds strings with the expectation that your bow should stay the same, not slowly drift out of spec because of shortcuts taken during the build.
The brand reflects the same values Joey respects in shooters. Be respectful of the sport. Be someone others enjoy shooting with. Care about your score, but don’t fall apart when things go wrong. Archery is still about the person behind the bow. Not everything has to be perfect to perform, and no piece of equipment will fix bad habits or poor execution.
Joey’s Bowstrings are for people who respect the sport, value craftsmanship, and want to be part of something close-knit rather than transactional.
The goal isn’t to be the biggest string company in archery.
The goal is to put genuinely good strings into the hands of people who respect the sport and help move it forward.
